About us

Built by process engineers, in the middle of the spice belt.

Taruveda Xtracts LLP is a botanical extraction company at Atit, Satara. We make essential oils, oleoresins and standardised plant extracts using supercritical CO₂ — and we chose that technology deliberately, not as a marketing angle.

The idea

India grows the raw material. Someone else usually adds the value.

India is among the world's largest producers of ginger, turmeric, cardamom, pepper and a long list of aromatic herbs. A great deal of that crop still leaves the country as raw or lightly processed material, gets extracted somewhere else, and comes back as a finished ingredient at many times the price.

Taruveda exists to close some of that gap. We put an advanced extraction plant inside the growing region, buy directly from farmers, FPOs and cooperatives where we can, and sell a finished, documented, export-grade ingredient. The farmer gets a better price for the crop. The buyer gets an extract with a shorter, cleaner supply chain behind it. And the value stays closer to where the plant was grown.

Leadership

Three engineers, sixty years, one plant

Between them the founding partners have run speciality chemical plants, delivered process projects for some of the largest EPC firms in the world, and sold technical ingredients to industrial buyers. That mix is the reason this plant is designed the way it is.

Milind Ghadge

Thirty years of running speciality chemical plants — the part of this business you cannot learn from a manual.

He began as a production officer at a pharmaceutical intermediates unit at Lote, then founded and ran his own speciality chemicals company, now Kani Overseas Corporation. Reaction chemistry, safety compliance and the practical discipline of keeping a process plant running reliably are what he brings to a high-pressure CO₂ facility.

How we work

What you can expect from us

We answer technical questions technically

If you ask what pressure a fraction was taken at, or why the GC profile shifted between lots, you'll get an answer from someone who was in the control room — not a forwarded email.

We'd rather say no than over-promise

If a botanical doesn't extract well under CO₂, or a spec isn't achievable at the volume you need, we'll tell you at the enquiry stage rather than at the pre-shipment sample.

Small lots are a real conversation

Large extractors often can't economically run a 50 kg trial. Our campaign model means we can, and we'd rather start a relationship at trial scale than not at all.

The paperwork comes with the product

A COA on every batch as standard, not on request. Heavy metals, pesticide residues and microbiology to whatever standard your market applies.

Come and see the plant.

We're two hours from Pune and about five from Mumbai. Buyers and auditors are welcome — get in touch and we'll arrange a visit.
