Supercritical CO₂ extraction · Satara, Maharashtra
We extract essential oils, oleoresins and standardised botanical actives using supercritical CO₂ — no hexane, no ethanol, no solvent residue. What reaches your formulation is the plant, and only the plant.
Why supercritical CO₂
Hexane and ethanol extraction work, but they run hot, they strip the delicate top notes, and they leave a residue your QA team has to test for and your customer has to accept.
Carbon dioxide above 73.8 bar and 31.1 °C behaves as a supercritical fluid — it flows like a gas and dissolves like a liquid. Adjust the pressure and temperature and you change exactly which compounds come across. At the end of the run, drop the pressure and the CO₂ simply leaves as a gas. There is nothing to wash out, nothing to distil off, and nothing to declare.
Portfolio
Our plant is built for campaign production — we change crop by changing parameters, not by changing equipment. That means we can run a high-volume staple and a low-volume premium botanical from the same vessel — and scale a product up to two tonnes a month as your requirement grows.
Zingiber officinale · oleoresin & essential oil
Our anchor crop. Guaranteed 5.5% yield on dried sonth, standardised to ≥20% total gingerols by HPLC. Full pungency and the fresh top note that steam distillation loses.
Elettaria cardamomum · oleoresin & essential oil
Sourced from Idukki, Kerala. CO₂ extraction holds the sweet, camphoraceous top note that defines premium cardamom — the part that disappears first under heat.
Vanilla planifolia · oleoresin
The full aromatic complex, not just vanillin. No ethanol carry-over, so it drops straight into alcohol-free and clean-label formats.
Coffea arabica & robusta · oleoresin
Indian and Arabica origins. Roast-true aroma for beverage systems, plus caffeine-bearing fractions for cosmetic and functional applications.
Pogostemon cablin · essential oil
Deep, rounded and free of the burnt note that distillation can introduce. A base-note workhorse for fine fragrance and personal care.
Curcuminoids, eugenol, piperine
Turmeric oleoresin with curcuminoids and turmerones, clove bud, black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, peppermint and spearmint — plus contract extraction on your own botanical.
Who we supply
A flavour house wants a sensory match and a spec sheet. A pharma buyer wants an assay and a DMF conversation. We work to whichever standard you're held to.
Sensory-matched CO₂ extracts with GC-MS profile, refractive index, specific gravity and full COA on submission. Sampling in evaluation quantities, then scale.
Spice oleoresins and essential oils for seasoning, beverage and ready-to-eat systems. Consistent actives, clean label, no solvent declaration.
Standardised actives verified by HPLC — gingerols, curcuminoids, piperine. Heavy metals by ICP-MS, pesticide residues against EU MRL, microbiology to FSSAI and EP methods.
Solvent-free aromatics for skincare, haircare and clean-beauty lines. INCI support and formulation-scale samples for brands still building volume.
Bulk supply in aluminium-lined bags and HDPE drums, documentation prepared for EU, US, Japan and GCC entry, and dispatch through JNPT / Mumbai.
Smaller lot sizes for wellness and independent brands who need genuine CO₂ extracts with paperwork that stands up to a customer question.
Quality
Extraction is the easy part. Proving what's in the drum, batch after batch, is the part that wins accounts.
Appearance, refractive index, specific gravity, moisture by Karl Fischer and extraction yield are checked on every single batch. Actives go through HPLC. Heavy metals go through ICP-MS against EU and USFDA limits. Pesticide residues are screened by multi-residue GC-MS against EU MRLs. Residual CO₂ is confirmed by headspace GC below the 0.1% food-safe threshold.
Sourcing
Satara sits inside western Maharashtra's spice and herb belt, which puts our raw material within a short haul of the plant for our anchor crops.
Ginger comes from Satara, Pune and Nashik, with Meerut and Rajasthan as season extenders. Turmeric comes from Sangli — Asia's largest turmeric market — an hour and a half away. Cardamom from Idukki, black pepper from Wayanad, coffee from Coorg, mint from Barabanki. Where it makes sense we tie up directly with FPOs and cooperatives rather than routing through intermediaries, which means better traceability for you and better realisation for the grower.
